ʿAbd al-Hādī Qandīl was an Egyptian politician born on March 2, 1935, in Zarqa, Damietta Governorate. He graduated from Ain Shams University with a degree in science in 1956. He served as the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources from 1984 until 1991. Qandīl passed away on March 23, 2019, in Cairo.
