Glasgow, Kentucky, is a city located in Barren County, Kentucky, United States. It is situated at the intersection of Interstate 65 and the Western Kentucky Parkway, approximately 110 miles south of Louisville and 80 miles north of Nashville, Tennessee. The city has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Glasgow was founded in 1799 and named after Glasgow, Scotland. It has a rich history and heritage, including being the site of the first permanent settlement in Barren County and the home of several notable historical figures, including Confederate General John Hunt Morgan and U.S. Senator Alben W. Barkley.
