Martinsville is a city in Morgan County, Indiana, United States. It is located approximately 30 miles (48 km) southwest of Indianapolis. The city has a population of 11,828 according to the 2010 census. Martinsville is known for its racing heritage, as it is home to the Martinsville Speedway, which hosts two NASCAR Cup Series races each year. The city is also home to the Morgan County Historical Society and Museum, which preserves the history of the county.
