Priceville, Alabama is a small town located in Morgan County, approximately 10 miles south of Decatur. The town has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Priceville was founded in 1818 and was originally known as Somerville. The town was renamed in 1881 in honor of Colonel William Price, a prominent local landowner and businessman. Priceville has a rich history and heritage, with many historic buildings and landmarks located throughout the town.
