Vynohradiv, Zakarpats'ka Oblast, Ukraine, also known as Nagyszőllős, is a city located in western Ukraine, near the border with Hungary. The city has a humid continental climate with warm summers and cold winters. Vynohradiv has a rich history dating back to the 13th century, when it was part of the Kingdom of Hungary. The city was later ruled by the Ottoman Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. After World War I, Vynohradiv became part of Czechoslovakia, and after World War II, it became part of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.
