Kırklareli is a city in northwestern Turkey, near the border with Bulgaria. It is located on the edge of the Thrace region, about 150 kilometers west of Istanbul. The city has a humid subtropical climate, with hot summers and mild winters. Kırklareli has a long and rich history, dating back to the ancient Thracians. It was later ruled by the Romans, Byzantines, and Ottomans. The city is home to a number of historical sites, including the Kırklareli Castle and the Selimiye Mosque.
