Chermen, formerly known as Bazorkino, is a town in the North Ossetia-Alania Republic of Russia, located in the Caucasus Mountains at the confluence of the Terek and Ardon Rivers. It experiences a humid continental climate with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Chermen has a rich history dating back to the 18th century, and is home to several historical landmarks and cultural heritage sites, including the Chermensky Church, the ruins of the medieval settlement of Dzivgis, and the National Museum of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.
