Etoka is a rural locality (a selo) in Petrovskiy District, Stavropol Krai, Russia, located on the Etok River, 24 kilometers (15 mi) north of the town of Svetlograd. The village has a population of 1,537 (2010 Census). The village was founded in 1861 by the Cossacks from the Don Host Oblast. The village is named after the Etok River, which flows through it. The climate of Etoka is humid continental, with hot summers and cold winters. The average temperature in January is -5.1 °C (22.8 °F), and the average temperature in July is 24.5 °C (76.1 °F). The village is home to a number of historical and cultural landmarks, including the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God, which was built in 1890.
