Pil'na is a town in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia, located on the Pyanets River, 120 kilometers (75 miles) southwest of Nizhny Novgorod. The town has a humid continental climate with warm summers and cold winters. Pil'na was first mentioned in chronicles in 1586 and was granted town status in 1779. It is home to several historical and cultural landmarks, including the Church of the Annunciation (1750), the Church of the Transfiguration (1800), and the Pil'na Museum of Local Lore.
