Serafimovich is a town located in the Volgograd region of Russia, on the left bank of the Don River. It is known for its mild climate with average temperatures ranging from -10°C in January to +25°C in July. The town has a rich history, having been founded in 1589 as Ust'-Medveditskaya. It was renamed in 1933 after the Soviet writer Aleksandr Serafimovich, who lived there for many years. Serafimovich is home to several historical and cultural landmarks, including the Serafimovich Museum of Local Lore, the Church of the Assumption, and the Monument to the Fallen Soldiers of the Great Patriotic War.
