Aurora, formerly known as Tukuran, is a municipality in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines. It is located at 7.9506°N, 123.5826°E, in the southern part of the province, and is bounded by the municipalities of Margosatubig in the north, Tukuran in the east, and Kumalarang in the west. The municipality has a tropical rainforest climate, with an average temperature of 27°C and an annual rainfall of 2,000 mm. Aurora was founded in 1957 and was named after the wife of the then-president, Carlos P. Garcia. The municipality is home to several historical and heritage sites, including the Tukuran Church, which was built in the 18th century, and the Aurora Municipal Hall, which was built in the early 20th century.
