Binuangan is a municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines. It is located in the northern part of the province, bordering the provinces of Lanao del Norte and Bukidnon. The municipality has a tropical rainforest climate with an average annual temperature of 27°C. Binuangan was founded in 1892 by a group of settlers from the neighboring town of Tagoloan. The town's name is derived from the Binuangan River, which flows through the municipality. Binuangan is known for its rich cultural heritage, which includes the traditional Binuangan Festival, which is held every year in August.
