Juárez, Durango, Mexico is a small town located in the north-central part of the state, at an elevation of 2,172 meters (7,126 feet) above sea level. The town has a population of around 1,500 people and is known for its beautiful scenery, friendly people, and rich history. The town was founded in 1848 by General José María Juárez, who later became the president of Mexico.
