Amascala is a small town located in the central Mexican state of Querétaro, approximately 120 kilometers north of Mexico City. The town has a temperate climate, with average temperatures ranging from 12°C to 25°C throughout the year. Amascala's history dates back to the pre-Columbian era, when it was inhabited by the Otomi people. The town was later conquered by the Spanish in the 16th century and became part of the Viceroyalty of New Spain. Amascala's heritage is reflected in its colonial-era architecture, including the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, which dates back to the 18th century.
