Apizaco is a city in the state of Tlaxcala, Mexico, located in the central part of the country. It has a temperate climate with an average temperature of 18°C (64°F) and receives an average of 850 mm (33 in) of rain per year. The city was founded in 1525 by the Spanish conquistadors and played an important role in the Mexican Revolution. Today, Apizaco is a major industrial and commercial center and is home to a number of historical and cultural attractions, including the Templo de San Antonio de Padua, the Museo de la Revolución Mexicana, and the Centro Cultural Universitario.
