Escárcega, Campeche, Mexico, also known as Francisco Escárcega, is a city located at latitude 18.6089100 and longitude -90.7454400 in the southeastern part of the country. Escárcega was founded in 1890 as a railway stop on the line between Mexico City and Mérida, and it has since grown into a major commercial and industrial center.
