Undur Sume is a sum (district) of Hövsgöl Province in northern Mongolia. It is located in the eastern part of the province, and its center is about 120 kilometers east of the provincial capital Mörön. The sum has an area of 3,400 square kilometers and a population of about 4,000 people. The climate is continental, with long, cold winters and short, warm summers. The average temperature in January is -25 degrees Celsius, and the average temperature in July is 18 degrees Celsius. The annual precipitation is about 300 millimeters. The sum is home to a number of historical and cultural sites, including the ruins of the ancient city of Chandman.
