Caraglio, also known as Caraj, is a town in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy. It is located in the Varaita Valley, at the foot of the Maritime Alps. The town has a population of about 7,000 people. The climate is mild, with average temperatures ranging from 5°C in January to 25°C in July. The town has a long history, dating back to the Roman era. It was later ruled by the Lombards, Franks, and Savoyards. Caraglio is home to a number of historical sites, including the Castello di Caraglio, the Church of San Giovanni Battista, and the Palazzo dei Conti di Caraglio.
