It is located on the banks of the Rhonelle River, approximately 10 kilometers south of Valenciennes and 20 kilometers east of Cambrai. The town has a humid continental climate with warm summers and cool winters. Quarouble's history dates back to the 11th century, when it was mentioned in a charter of the Abbey of Saint-Amand. The town's heritage includes the Church of Saint-Martin, which was built in the 16th century, and the Château de Quarouble, which was built in the 18th century.
