Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, also known as La Hougue, is a commune in the Manche department of Normandy, France. Located on the Cotentin Peninsula, it has a temperate oceanic climate with mild winters and warm summers. The town has a rich history, having been a major port and naval base since the Middle Ages. It is also home to the Vauban Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 17th century to protect the harbor.
