Arbo, also known as Arbo, Santa Maria or Santa María, is a municipality located in the province of Pontevedra, in the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It is situated in the southwest of the province, bordering Portugal, and has a temperate climate with mild winters and warm summers. Arbo has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages, with evidence of Roman and Celtic settlements in the area. It is home to several historical monuments, including the Romanesque church of Santa María de Arbo and the medieval castle of A Rocha Forte.
