Sada, Galicia, Spain, also known as Sada da Area, Santa Maria de Sada or Santa María de Sada, is a municipality in the province of A Coruña, located in the northwest of Spain. The town has a population of around 15,000 and is situated on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, at the mouth of the River Sada. The climate is temperate, with mild winters and warm summers. The town has a long history, dating back to the Roman period, and its heritage is reflected in its architecture, which includes a number of historic buildings, such as the Church of Santa Maria and the Tower of Hercules.
