Seseña is a municipality in the province of Toledo, in the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, Spain. It is located in the central part of the Iberian Peninsula, about 30 kilometers south of Madrid. The climate is Mediterranean, with hot summers and mild winters. The average temperature is 14.5 °C and the average annual rainfall is 450 mm. The history of Seseña dates back to the Roman period, when it was known as Sisapo. The town was later conquered by the Moors and became part of the Caliphate of Córdoba. In the 12th century, Seseña was reconquered by the Christians and became part of the Kingdom of Castile. The town has a rich historical heritage, including the Church of Santa María Magdalena, the Convent of San Francisco, and the Palace of the Counts of Seseña.
