Located at an altitude of 94 meters and a distance of 95 kilometers from the provincial capital, it has a population of 14,389 inhabitants. The municipality has a coastline of 17 kilometers and its beaches are characterized by their fine sand and crystal-clear waters. The climate is Mediterranean, with mild winters and hot summers.
