Rommerskirchen is a municipality in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located in the Lower Rhine region, approximately 20 kilometers southwest of Düsseldorf. The town has a temperate climate with mild winters and warm summers. Rommerskirchen has a long history dating back to the 12th century. It was first mentioned in a document from 1189 as "Rumerskirchen". The town was granted market rights in 1355 and became a member of the Hanseatic League in 1371. Rommerskirchen has a rich heritage and is home to several historical buildings, including the Romanesque church of St. Peter and Paul and the Baroque town hall.
