Schankweiler is a municipality in the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located in the Eifel mountains, approximately 10 km south of Wittlich. It was first mentioned in a document in 1152, and was part of the Duchy of Luxembourg until 1815, when it became part of Prussia.
