Wallersheim is a municipality in the district of Cochem-Zell in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located in the Eifel mountains, approximately 10 km southwest of Cochem. The municipality has a population of around 350 people. The climate in Wallersheim is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from 0°C in January to 20°C in July. The municipality has a rich history, dating back to the Middle Ages. The first written mention of Wallersheim is from 1136. The municipality was part of the Archbishopric of Trier until 1803, when it was annexed by France. In 1815, Wallersheim became part of the Kingdom of Prussia. After World War II, Wallersheim became part of the Federal Republic of Germany.
