Lijiang, formerly known as Dayan, is a county-level city in Yunnan Province, China. Located in the northwestern part of Yunnan Province, Lijiang is known for its well-preserved old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city has a subtropical highland climate, with average temperatures ranging from 10 to 20 degrees Celsius throughout the year. Lijiang has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the Naxi Kingdom, which ruled the area from the 13th to the 19th centuries.
