Xianxi, Hunan, China is a town in the Wulingyuan District of Zhangjiajie City. It is located in the northwest of Hunan Province, bordering Hubei Province to the north and Guizhou Province to the west. The town has a humid subtropical climate, with an average annual temperature of 15.5 °C (59.9 °F). Xianxi has a long history, dating back to the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC). It was once an important trading center on the ancient Silk Road. The town is home to a number of historical and cultural sites, including the Xianxi Ancient City Wall, the Xianxi Confucian Temple, and the Xianxi Museum.
