Rạch Giá is a coastal city in southwestern Vietnam, the capital of Kiên Giang Province, and the largest city in the Mekong Delta. The city has a tropical monsoon climate with an average temperature of 27°C (80°F) and annual rainfall of 2,000 mm (80 in). Rạch Giá was founded in the 17th century by Chinese immigrants and has a rich history and heritage, including the Khmer temple of Ba Chua Xu and the Rạch Giá Cathedral.
