Wilsonville is a city in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States, south of Portland. It is located in the Tualatin Valley, at the confluence of the Willamette and Tualatin Rivers. The city has a humid subtropical climate, with mild winters and warm, dry summers. Wilsonville was founded in 1847 by William Wilson, a pioneer from Kentucky. The city was originally named "Boones Ferry" after Boone County, Kentucky, but was later renamed after Wilson. Wilsonville is home to several large corporations, including Nike, Intel, and Columbia Sportswear. The city also has a strong agricultural industry, with many farms and nurseries in the surrounding area.
