Saint Croix Falls is a city in Polk County, Wisconsin, United States. It is located on the Saint Croix River, across from Taylors Falls, Minnesota. The city has a population of 2,132 as of the 2020 census. Saint Croix Falls was founded in 1837 by a group of New Englanders led by Reverend Stephen Peet. The city was named after the Saint Croix River, which was named by French explorers in the 17th century. The city is home to the Interstate State Park, which is a popular tourist destination.
