Tannersville is a small borough in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, located at the intersection of Interstates 80 and 380. The area experiences a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The borough was founded in the early 19th century by Jacob Tanner, a tanner and farmer, and was originally known as Tanner's Village. The name was later changed to Tannersville in 1850.
