Lakemont, Pennsylvania, is a small town located in the Allegheny Mountains at the southern end of Blair County, at the crossroads of U.S. Route 220 and Pennsylvania Route 453. The town was founded in 1883 and was originally a resort town for wealthy Pittsburghers. Today, Lakemont is a popular tourist destination, known for its historic amusement park, Lakemont Park, and its beautiful mountain scenery.
