Pandora, Ohio, is a village in Putnam County, located in northwestern Ohio. The village is situated approximately 60 miles south of Toledo and 30 miles north of Lima. Pandora has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The village was founded in 1832 by a group of settlers from New York and Pennsylvania. The name "Pandora" was chosen by the settlers after the Greek goddess of hope. Pandora has a rich heritage, with many of the original buildings still standing today. The village is home to several historical sites, including the Pandora Depot Museum and the Pandora Public Library.
