Central Valley, New York, is a town in Orange County with a latitude of 41.3317600 and longitude of -74.1209800. It is located in the southern part of the state, about 60 miles northwest of New York City. The climate is humid continental, with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The area was first settled by Dutch farmers in the 17th century and was originally known as "The Great Valley". It was renamed Central Valley in 1847. The town is home to several historic sites, including the Old Dutch Church, which was built in 1731 and is one of the oldest churches in the United States.
