Veazie, Maine is a small town located in Penobscot County, Maine, United States. The town is situated on the Penobscot River, approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) north of Bangor. Veazie has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The town was first settled in the early 1800s and was originally known as Veazie Plantation. It was incorporated as a town in 1853 and named after Samuel Veazie, a local businessman and politician. Veazie is home to several historic sites, including the Veazie House, which was built in 1810 and is one of the oldest houses in the town.
