Westwood is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. It is located approximately 12 miles (19 km) southwest of Boston. The town has a population of 15,448 (2020 census). Westwood was first settled in 1670 and incorporated as a town in 1897. The town is home to the University of Massachusetts Boston and the Westwood Public Schools. The town's weather is characterized by hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters.
