Ware, Massachusetts, is a town in central Massachusetts, located about 20 miles east of Springfield. It has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The town was founded in 1761 and was originally known as "Quabbin," meaning "meeting of the waters" in the Nipmuc language. It was renamed "Ware" in 1775 after the Revolutionary War hero, General Artemas Ware. The town has a rich history and heritage, and is home to several historic buildings, including the Ware Town Hall, which was built in 1837 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
