Otterbein, Indiana, is a small town located in Warren County, about 30 miles northwest of Indianapolis. The town was founded in 1834 and named after Philip William Otterbein, the founder of the United Brethren in Christ denomination. Otterbein has a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The town's heritage is closely tied to its religious roots, and many of its historic buildings are associated with the United Brethren Church.
