Nokesville is a town in Prince William County, Virginia, United States. It is located at the intersection of Virginia State Route 28 and Virginia State Route 215, approximately 30 miles (48 km) southwest of Washington, D.C. The town has a population of approximately 1,300 people. The climate is humid subtropical, with hot, humid summers and mild winters. The town was founded in 1854 and was named after John Nokes, a local landowner. Nokesville has a rich history and heritage, and is home to several historic sites, including the Nokesville Historic District and the Manassas National Battlefield Park.
